Job Description
Role (Lead, Sales West – KHI)
The Lead, Sales West Leader – Kraft Heinz Ingredients will be responsible leading a team of National Accounts Managers, as well as maintaining a book of business calling upon Ingredients manufacturers in the United States. This role is uniquely positioned for an ambitious sales leader who is craving full ownership and accountability for our products and customers within the West territory and the assigned Accounts. This is not a traditional sales role. We are searching for a candidate who shows a high level of ownership for their business and is adept at selling solutions and has a proven ability to win new business. We are seeking a candidate who is eager to be a leader, influencer and activator with internal and external key stakeholders from the first day on the job. This role reports to the Head of Sales for Kraft Heinz Ingredients.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 4 National Account Managers for the KHI business.
- Develops direct reports through by coaching, providing constructive and timely feedback, establishing appropriate and actionable development plans, and building business opportunities.
- Act with resiliency in the relentless hunt for new sales opportunities.
- Develops, tracks, analyzes, evaluates and develops customer business plans based on KHI strategies/initiatives and external factors.
- Set and deliver challenging targets for the regional sales team.
- Drive strategic commercial agenda for the KHI business – centralizing distribution, assessing addressable market, aligning accounts appropriately for Sales team.
- Manage communication around pricing initiatives to meet customer needs and drive profitability.
- Build effective proposals, based on customer needs, consumer insights and the customer’s decision criteria.
- Build strategic relationships with decision makers in assigned accounts.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience and expertise in Food Ingredients required.
• A minimum of 7 years of sales experience required with a consistent track record for attaining new customers, increasing penetration with existing customers, and growing sales profitably.
• Strong business acumen and intuition demonstrated by discernment that not every sales opportunity is equal. Distort resources to high potential options.
- Strong financial acumen – understanding of profit and revenue drivers and analysis
• Previous experience owning a P&L and forecast to drive financial results.
• Unique ability to cultivate followership and effectively lead a team of high performing salespeople
• Strong analytical skills demonstrated by experience utilizing systems for tracking and recording sales, effective business planning and data-driven strategy for maintaining current and securing new customers.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrated by effective presentation, influence, and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders.
• Home-based role, travel is required.
