The Seasonal Customer Service Representative, we call Brand Ambassador, is a passionate, solution-oriented customer care professional dedicated to the Herff Jones customer care program and is responsible for providing an authentic, world-class customer experience for our client’s customers via phone and email. As part of a diverse, engaged team dedicated to the graduation products program, the Brand Ambassador assists with all aspects of customer service for the leading provider of graduation and educational products and services designed to inspire achievement and create memorable experiences for students.

Customer Service Representatives (Brand Ambassadors) assist our client’s customers with general customer service and order placement to include product information, order placement, order status, delivery assistance, facilitating returns and escalated issues for a variety of graduation products for high schools, colleges, and universities. The Brand Ambassador utilizes a variety of resources and information to assist customers in a courteous and professional manner that supports and reinforces brand standards, always with a focus on providing best-in-class customer service.

This position requires an empathetic, action-oriented, and flexible problem-solver to provide an elevated customer service experience. The Brand Ambassador will utilize a variety of software tools to navigate customer accounts, research and review policies, and communicate effective solutions.

This is a Seasonal position expected to run through June.

What You’ll Do

With the utmost professionalism, represent Herff Jones, a well-respected, leading provider of graduation and educational products and services
Using positive energy and a can-do spirit, assist VIPdesk Connect client’s customers via phone and email
Answer questions about order placement, order and delivery status, product information, policies, as well as provide basic website navigation and troubleshooting assistance
Take ownership of issues and follow through to solve problems while exercising sound judgment, focusing on achieving a resolution that exceeds customer expectations
Convey excitement, authenticity, and a deep appreciation for the mission and values of our client’s brand

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of experience and success in Customer Service
Previous remote experience a plus
High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
Previous experience in a fast-paced call environment a plus
Desire to learn and grow in a team environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to adapt to new systems and processes and succeed in a changing environment
Able to deliver consistent quality
Open and accepting of coaching and feedback
Ability to respond positively to change, embracing and using new learning to accomplish complex or difficult challenges
Expertise in asking questions and guiding conversations to resolve customer requests
Ability to accurately document customer interaction details with limited errors
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications including Teams
Able to type at least 35 words per minute with minimal errors
Technically savvy with the ability to pick up new technology, processes, and procedures quickly
Due to the home-based nature of this job, the Brand Ambassador is required to have a home-office environment, internet connection, USB headset, router, modem, webcam, and a computer system that meets VIPdesk Connect policies and maintenance requirements, including system upgrades as applicable, which may change over time
Able to provide a work-at-home environment that is ergonomically sound, conducive to taking customer calls, quiet, and free from distraction
Able to successfully pass credit, criminal, and employment reference security checks where permissible by state and local regulations

Training
Our next training class is scheduled to begin on or about February 16, 2021, with daily classes held 9:00 am-6:00 pm ET, Monday-Friday.
